Marcie Rae
Marcie Rae is a jeweler, living in Cape Ann, MA, working since 2000. There are three primary focuses in her jewelry: chain maille, in sterling silver and 14K gold fill, many patterns with a medieval or older heritage; filigree, again an ancient technique where tiny fine silver wires are twisted, curled, and soldered into a silver frame; and contemporary fabrication techniques in which precious, semi-precious and picture stones are set into silver and occasionally gold.
Marcie’s jewelry is full of surprises – unique stones of all colors from all over the world, handset into pendants and brooches; hand crafted linked necklaces and bracelets; thoughtfully created textures from ancient and contemporary techniques; a dazzle of precious and semi-precious gems and pearls. Mainly silver, with occasional gold accents, Marcie’s jewelry is unique, adventurous and very wearable.
