Charley

Charley is a historic novel based on a true story. Charley a boy from Boston finds himself and his siblings abandoned. To Charley’s great dismay they are sent to an Orphanage. Charley is gifted with the voice of an angel and sings in the orphanage choir all over New England. Charley gets his big break when a dairy farming family in rural Maine welcome him to their home. But Charley now has his biggest challenge of all,  to change from a street wise city boy into a farmer. 

Charley has been adapted as a play and has been in the curriculum of 4th and 5th grades in New England. (Enjoyed by young adults and adults as well as middle grade students).

Charley has won The Eloquent Quill Award from Literary Classics and the Winner of The New England Book Festival for Regional Literature.
